The Armaggeddon Chroma Kit 3000 is a 5-piece fan set that focuses on maximum visual impact and ease of installation. Unlike the newer "Pro" versions that use PWM (pulse-width modulation) to change speed based on temperature, the Chroma 3000 series typically runs at a fixed speed for consistent airflow.
The Controller: The Chroma 3000 uses a 6-pin proprietary system. This means you cannot plug these fans directly into your motherboard; they must go into the Armaggeddon control box.
Speed Control: These fans usually run at a single speed (1200 RPM) rather than slowing down when your computer is idle.
Remote Control: Since it uses an RF remote, you don't need special software on your PC to change colors; you just use the physical remote provided in the box.
